Overview
MUSA is a mobile-first museum web-app designed for Deaf users who communicate using Irish Sign Language (ISL). The site features ISL interpretation videos for artwork and artifacts, interactive 3D renderings for closer exploration, and games to support engagement and information retention.
Purpose
People with hearing disabilities often feel excluded in museum settings because sign language tours are not available. Alternatives like audio tours cater primarily to visually impaired visitors, and they find large blocks of text difficult to read and comprehend. These limit engagement and overall enjoyment.
